Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology

Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology has emerged from the merger of the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic in Tauranga and the Rotorua-based Wairariki Polytechnic.

Today Toi Ohomai operates five main campuses across Rotorua, Tauranga, Taupō, Tokoroa, and Whakatāne, and has almost seventy course delivery sites throughout the Bay of Plenty and South Waikato regions.

Over 150 courses on offer plus the chance to go to further study

Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology has expanded to now offer over 150 full-time or short courses, these being delivered through seven faculties of study.

These faculties offer courses ranging from bridging and foundation programmes to get you underway to full degrees offered in partnership with other institutions such as the University of Waikato and AUT. Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology's partnerships with other tertiary institutions mean you can study overseas for part of your degree course, or even that you can study the three years of AUT’s Bachelor of Sport and Recreation programme from Toi Ohomai's Tauranga campus. A number of these bridging programmes are free to study.
